Today, I have to share some difficult news, The Community Heating Project CIC is coming to an end.

Over the years, we were incredibly fortunate to receive grant funding that allowed us to support people in need. Unfortunately, that funding has now come to an end, and without it, we’re unable to continue.

The project has always been run solely by myself alongside running RGM Heating Ltd, using whatever spare time I could give. When I first started, I hoped to sustain it through fundraising and donations, but the reality, especially during the ongoing cost of living crisis, made that extremely challenging and time-consuming.

That said, I am incredibly proud of what we achieved together. We’ve helped over 200 individuals and families get their heating systems back up and running in Fife, something that truly makes a difference.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us along the way, and especially to the team at Cosy Kingdom for their help and partnership.

For now, I’ll be keeping the company open but dormant until early next year when the next accounts are due, just in case any funding or support becomes available, although it’s unlikely. Otherwise, the company will sadly have to close.

The RGM Heating team installed a boiler for a lovely customer in Rosyth before Christmas, through Cosy Kingdom 👨‍🔧

The customers boiler was outdated and inefficient - very much in need of a replacement. The Community Heating Project and RGM Heating were able to help keep this customer warm throughout this winter and beyond, at no cost to the customer! 😊

We take pride in helping our local community as much as we possibly can - receiving feedback like this, especially in the form of a handwritten letter, means a lot to us and keeps us motivated to continue supporting as many people in need as we possibly can!

🥳Happy New Year🥳

A tad early but before the parties begin we would just like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

What a year 2025 was for The Community Heating project. Together with Cosy Kingdom and RGM Heating we managed to bring 64 houses out of fuel poverty including 17 new boilers supplied and fitted. All of this work is done free of charge and is not possible without the help of Cosy Kingdom, RGM Heating and the donations made from the public.

Cosy Kingdom contacted us to help a customer with his radiators. They weren't heating up correcty and the valves were broken. When we arrived, it was clear that 3 radiators and valves needed replacing and thats exactly what we done!

🎅💪Next Day Service💪🎅

We pulled out all the stops for this customer in Glenrothes. We were contacted by Cosy Kingdom about a customer who has had constant repairs and the boiler is still failing. It was evident during our survey that the boiler simply needed replaced.

The lady had no heating or hot water for over a week and this close to Christmas we knew it was imperative to get this sorted ASAP. The next day the customer had a brand new, A-rated boiler in perfect working condition bringing heat and hot water back to her house.

It's not always possible for us to be this responsive but when duty callS we have an excellent team we can rely on to get the job done!

The customer was ecstatic. she was gradually running out of money for repairs and really didnt want to cause a fuss. She can now enjoy Christmas and New Year in her own home without worrying about heating and hot water.

Our installation would not have been possible without the help of RGM Heating, Cosy Kingdom or The Community Heating Project.

Cosy Kingdom contacted us to help a customer with his back boiler. Due to personal circumstances, it hadn't been serviced in years, and when we arrived, it was clear that this boiler was in no fit state.

We replaced an old, inefficient back boiler with a brand new, A-rated combi boiler. We also power flushed the system thoroughly and installed a magnetic filter to make sure the boiler would be able to run as it should for years to come!
