Another fantastically busy weekend with two full kilt making classes. It's so rewarding to see the students hand stitching their customer kilts. All in beautiful tartans woven at Isle Mill Ltd in Keith. We are so lucky to have the last mill in Keith weaving our tartans for us. The students have 100 of tartans to chose from to create their Heirloom Kilts for their customers including the Hebridean range exclusive from House of Edgar and we are so lucky to have students who are keeping the tradition going for the future. Let's keep this fantastic skill of Heirloom kilts alive and kicking....@147 Mid Street at Keith Kilt and Textile Centre. Think Kilts Think Keith

All ready for another busy weekend of Kilt making….below are some pics of last weekends activities. It’s not just a learning curve it’s also a social event. It’s great to get to know the students and our very own Sally Stone was one of the winners on Pointless last night. Well done Sally and her son in law Sean one of our local posties 👏👏👏

Happy May Day and another busy, busy day at the Keith Kilt and Textile Centre. New students starting on their induction day. Mature students working on their customer kilts and it’s all go. What a lovely feeling to see heirloom kilts being created in front of our eyes, Scottish Culture at its very best. Linda our tutor is in her element teaching this amazing skill.

So why don’t we do a special May weekend offer? We have had two special offers recently so why no one for May? Hand stitched kilts are an absolute treasure an heirloom for the future.

Our hand stitched Kilts range from £700.00 to £750.00:depending on the tartan and the customer requirements so let’s do a wee bit of a discount and discount them by £50.00 offering a hand stitched kilt at £650.00 to £700.00. This could be an amazing gift to someone special, especially in June and the voucher will be valid for 6 months from date of purchase………..win, win all round…….especially as we have some exclusive tartans only available from The Keith Kilt and Textile Centre at this unique offer.

A lovely sunny day in Keith and it's all go at the Kilt School. A student Sewing on a waistband a very challenging skill with tartan having a mind of its own. Then students marking out tartan flashes, hand sewing pleats measuring a customer for a kilt and getting ready for next weeks full class. As they say all go but you still have to eat so important a part of the day. So up to Boogie for breakfast leaving Linda and the students making their hand sewn kilts and enjoying another brilliant plateful of food plus a vegan sausage roll. Aren't we so lucky to have so many independent businesses in Keith. Support local when and where you can 😊 Have a lovely weekend xx
