Hello lovely Shed followers. Great news, on Thursday 15th October, at Oakworth Village Hall during our normal weekly session 1pm-3pm, Jan Abberton will be giving a talk about the amazing work the Hedgiehog Hotel does in Oakworth. Jan, who runs the charity with the help of local volunteers, is a member of The Shed and is hoping to bring some little bundles of pricklies with her to the talk. Why not pop in, have a cuppa and some biscuits and find out about we can all help with our little spiky friends. The session costs £2.50 and that includes the talk, the refreshments and lots of fun and laughter. We look forward to seeing you.

Good morning lovely Shed people

So this Thursday we meet from 1-3pm in the Oakworth Village Hall.
Copious amounts of tea/coffee with or without milk. Biscuits optional?
The heatings on.

Kevin will be lighting our way in the men’s dept., plus a little spraying.
Of course there’s the usual banter about football, bowls and whatever goes in the mix.

The ladies knit, crochet, talks about the weather, sew either by hand or use our sewing machines.
But this week ladies you will need to bring with you a felt tip pen any colour with you, a sewing needle with a big eye.

More importantly bring yourself.

See you tomorrow
Please share if possible.

Love the Shed☕️

Hello lovely Shed followers. Well, 6 weeks has certainly flown by and here we are, getting ready to re-open. Our official opening date is next Thursday, 10th September, at Oakworth Village Hall from 1pm - 3pm, £2.50 per person, including refreshments. We are still on the look out for a ‘Man Thursday’ to come and take over running the woodworking side of things, following our last man finishing in July. If you could help, or know someone who could, then pop along to our meeting.

Do you enjoy woodworking and sharing your skills with others? 🛠️

The Shed - Oakworth, held every Thursday from 1pm to 3pm at Oakworth Village Hall, is looking for a volunteer to help facilitate simple woodworking activities with members.

Popular projects include building planters, bird boxes, and other practical items, helping people learn new skills, build confidence, and enjoy time together in a friendly, supportive environment.

If you have basic woodworking experience and a few hours to spare each week, we'd love to hear from you!
