We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended Doncaster: Take Ketamine Seriously, as well as our incredible panel of speakers

Across the afternoon, we heard:
• The potential impact the reclassification of ketamine may have, and the harm criminalisation continues to have on communities, families, and people who use drugs
• The need for quality harm reduction information alongside a consistent, holistic treatment
• Connected and informed professional services that can provide genuine choice
• The importance of hope

Together, we can shape policy and build responses that reduce harm, save lives, and better support people affected by ketamine use.

Ketamine use is evolving. As availability increases and national reviews of its classification continue, communities are seeing rising social harms and physical health concerns. These emerging challenges require informed, coordinated, and targeted harm reduction responses.

Join Project 6 and the Transform Drug Policy Foundation for a half‑day conference bringing together communities, frontline services, policymakers, and people with lived experience to explore practical, evidence‑informed solutions to ketamine use.

Huge congratulations and welcome to our new cohort of Ambassadors for 2026!
It's brilliant to have them all onboard and we can't wait to see what they'll achieve as part of this programme.

In today's session we spoke about the recovery community and what it means to be an ambassador - as well as the plans for this next programme.

The Ambassador programme is a 12 month course made up of 6 months of learning from different well known organisations and 6 months of placement with a graduation at the end to celebrate all their hard work! 📖🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and contributed to our Your Voice event in Doncaster.

Across the day, several powerful themes emerged:

Community Connection – We’re just one of ecosystem of fantastic services rooted in our communities. Understanding and being shaped by our communities is so vital because…

Choice Matters – We heard clearly how important it is for people accessing drug and alcohol services to have real choice, flexibility, and control over their support.

Partnership Working – The value of collaboration between services, communities, families, and individuals came through strongly (and the need for more of it!). We’re excited to keep building partnerships that create better outcomes for everyone.

Your voices genuinely shape our work. Thank you for showing up, speaking up, and helping us move forward together.

Reflecting on an incredible 2025 at Project 6

This year has been full of collaboration, creativity, and impact. Here are some of the moments that made us proud:

Your Voice Events – From Keighley to Sheffield, we brought together people who use our services, volunteers, partners, and commissioners to collaborate on shaping the support we offer. Honest conversations, creative spaces, and powerful contributions strengthened our community.

Creative Away Days – We spent time as a team getting creative and reflecting on the role of Project 6 in our communities, what we each bring, and where our focus should be in the coming years.

Beat-Herder Festival – Our annual trip out to run the Welfare yurt at Beat-Herder festival. We delivered 800 interventions and shared harm reduction info with 1,000+ festival-goers.

Polish SMART Group – We helped launch the first in-person Polish-speaking SMART meeting in England, launched in Doncaster, thanks to our specialist Central and Eastern European Worker

Our volunteers – 13,604 hours donated, 144 qualifications gained, and thousands of meals prepared. This is what making a difference looks like.

Research & Impact –
• Fresh Start report with Sheffield Hallam University: recommendations to improve support for mothers facing child removal.
• MAST report: reducing hospital readmissions and a potential saving of over £3M annually.

Award Winning – Proud winners of two Yorkshire HR Awards: Excellence in Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and HR Team of the Year.

Impact in Numbers
• 8,163 people supported (26% above target)
• 82% ofpeople demonstrated positive changes in one or more of our core outcome areas
• 95% reported improved mental health
• 88% of people felt more accepted as part of their community and able to give something back

A huge thank you to our staff, volunteers, partners, and the incredible people we work alongside. Here’s to building even stronger communities in 2026!

MAST is a partnership of five local voluntary sector organisations that is helping transform urgent and emergency care across Bradford and Airedale. Today, we publish our Impact Report for the partnership.

By combining hospital-based interventions with community support, we help reduce readmissions, improve wellbeing, and ease pressure on NHS services. In 2024–25, MAST supported over 3,200 patients in hospital and 1,100 in the community, delivering life-changing outcomes and significant savings for the health system.
