Advice
We offer confidential advice online, over the phone or in person to ensure people can readily access advice regardless of background or financial means. We support people to exercise their rights and deal with any legal and social welfare problems they may face. We provide a walk in and appointment service. Our current opening times for advice are Mon-Thursday 10am to
3pm. For emergency matters we can be contacted via email or phone outside these hours. Social Day care
For our elderly men and women we offer a day care service from Monday – Thursday 10.00 am till 2pm. As part of the project we operate a door to door pick-up and drop-off. The sessions include lunch, healthy cook & eat activities, exercise classes, pampering sessions and external speakers on a variety of subjects. Adult education
At the Sangat Centre we deliver a variety of weekly classes to meet the needs of our service users. These include Foundation English Speaking & Listening, A2, B1 and Life in the UK test preparation and driving theory practice. Additionally, we regularly run short term courses on a whole range of life skills. Recently we have concluded delivery of courses on Money Matters and building confidence. Youth activities
We have a Sunday Club which runs throughout the academic term for 6-16 year olds, It includes a mix of physical activities, exercises, crafts and educational support. We also deliver extensive holiday activity programmes to keep our young people stimulated and active during school breaks. Facilities hire
We have offices, classrooms, IT room, kitchens and sports hall available for hire for functions, events and projects
Upcoming projects
Starting in July we will be running ‘Healthy lifestyles’ sessions for men and women (separate sessions) aimed at over 40’s. These sessions will focus on aspects of physical and mental wellbeing. Our sewing classes will be starting back up at the Centre. We work in partnership with Bradford Council, Department for Levelling Up, Department for Education, Keighley College, QED, Craven College, OISC, REN Racial Equality Network, Keighley Healthy Living, Manningham Housing Association, Pipeline Productions, Sharing Voices Bradford and SMT Save the Mother's Trust.
