📢 Use it or lose it 📢
Over the last few months the group has become very quiet. We are a not for profit group, and currently we are struggling to meet the costs of running due to low numbers.
Further to that, after summer this year most of the current parent helpers children are going to school, meaning there will be no regular parent helpers to ensure the group continues to run.
Tiddlers has been running in the village for over 13 years. We originally ran two mornings a week, and dropped down to just Monday a few years ago due to lack of helpers to keep the group running twice a week. If there is no increase in numbers, we will be looking to drop down to fortnightly after February half term - which we really don’t want to have to do.
Our plea is that if people would like the group to continue to run that we get an increase in regular attendees, and that there are some parents who come forwards as willing to help the group keep running after summer this year.
Your first session is free to see if you and your child(ren) enjoy the group. Any feedback is always welcome.
We run on a Monday (during Leicestershire term time) in the community room at Kegworth Village Hall 9.45-11.45am. There is a variety of toys for all ages, including a baby area. We do a weekly craft and sometimes do messy play activities. There is a healthy snack served at 10.30am, and free hot drinks for adults. The session is finished with song time. The usual cost after your first session is £3 per child (siblings £1). There is space to park your pushchair in the hallway, or plenty of free parking at the village hall.
