Great value activity for this half term and a safe way to be in the water. It’s that mild you might not even need the wetsuit.

The whole scout group would like to thank Rempstone steam and Country show for their amazing £500 donation. This will be spent on new tents and activities later in the year. Thank you for your support.

It is the great show this weekend, if you’re free and want a great day out. All the details can be found at www.rempstonesteam.co.uk

The Cubs and Scouts had a great night at Spring Lakes on Friday. They learnt essential water safety and survival skills from a life guard. There has been a lot of awful news of children loosing their lives while wild swimming in the recent hot weather. We discussed the safe places to swim, what to do if out of depth or struggling in the water, also the safe way we can help someone in the water.

They had time on the kayaks and paddle boards before having fun on the aqua park. Thanks you to Northwest Leicestershire community lottery fund for the grant which largely subsidised the event.
