Hi ladies! We are the ladies Dereham & District Tangent 791. We meet twice a month - one 'formal' meeting, one cuppa & cake meeting, which are always on Wednesdays. We make up our own programme, with ladies pitching their ideas to our members

This evening Dereham Tangent ladies are 'camping out' so we shall all be hoping for no rain!
We have a varied programme, including a garden visit at the start of July. We also meet mid-month - meeting places vary - so if you miss an evening meeting you can always join us our cuppa & cake gatherings.

Dereham & District Tangent has a new Chairman, Carol Goodbody, who is very keen to get her year up & running. She took over the Chairman's role at the beginning off April & is looking forward to a great year ahead.
Our 2026 Southampton Conference has come & gone and what a weekend we enjoyed! For me there will be other trips away with my husband, who is the 41 Club National Fellowship Officer.
If you have just read the last couple of sentences, and have a husband who might be interested, why not both give us a try.

Well Tangent Conference is on the horizon and this year we shall be in Southampton.
Looking forward to catching up with friends, making new friends, attending the National AGM and generally having a great time.
Will need to catch up on sleep on our return!!

We are part of the Round Table family. Round Table was started in Norwich by Louis Marchesi - yes, on our doorstep! After several years the wives decided it was time for them to have a 'piece of the action' and started a local Ladies Circle in 1930.
There are Clubs far and wide across the country, all part of the same Clubs, which now involve 4 Clubs - Round Table & Ladies Circle, up to age 45 - followed by 41 Club & Tangent, for when we get a bit older.
We are spread ALL across the country, so hopefully there is a Club close to you.

We have Clubs all over the country so who knows you may find there is a local Tangent Club on your doorstep 🥰 Our Dereham Tangent meets twice a month - the 1st Wednesday of the month in the evening and the 3rd Wednesday of the month in the afternoon for a cuppa, cake & chat.

Our Dereham Tangent meeting last night was at the Escape Rooms in Dereham. One or two of us ducked out of the rooms but several of the ladies appeared to crack the code as they made their way to Wetherspoons!

Happy new year to any ladies reading this post! We start back in full swing next week, when we shall be putting together our new programme for the coming 12 months.
All members can put forward ideas. If your idea is accepted it is up to you to organise the event. Don't worry, there's always someone who will listen and/or will give you a helping hand!

We have a varied programme, meeting on the 1st Wednesday evening of the month, and also a mid-month cuppa, cake & chat get together. Every Club is different & will have their own programme.
Our Clubs spread from Scotland down to Cornwall and we like to think we offer something for everyone.

To any ladies reading this message perhaps your New Year's resolution could be to join a Club?
If so, Dereham & District Tangent could be for you. We are the ladies who are now too old for Ladies Circle (those ladies are under 45) and have moved up to Dereham Tangent age 45+.
We currently have over 30 members and like to think our programme of events covers something for everyone.
Who knows, perhaps your New Year's resolution could be to give Dereham Tangent a try - what have you got to lose?
