Last week Mark Gordon and Carl Naudo DipPFS were delighted to attend the ‘Extra Mile’ awards hosted by Combat Stress at The In & Out (Naval and Military Club) and be presented with the “Team Fundraiser of the Year award” on behalf of Bootneck Yomp 25! Fittingly Mark and Carl were presented with the award by the former First Sea Lord, Sir Philip Jones, himself father of a serving Royal Marines Commando, and whose own closer than normal association with the Corps included serving onboard HMS Fearless during Operation Corporate (Falklands War), and as the Commodore Amphibious Task Group, amongst other appointments.
The fundraising continues for our 5 charities: Cancer Research UK (CRUK), Combat Stress, Alzheimer's Society, PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Su***de and RMA - The Royal Marines Charity. A full documentary covering the event is due to be released in May 2026 as part of the overall fundraising efforts.
