🍂🏃‍♀️ Filham Park Junior parkrun – Volunteers Needed! 🏃‍♂️🍂

A little reminder that the clocks go back tonight, so you’ll get an extra hour in bed before joining us at Filham Park Junior parkrun tomorrow morning! 😴⏰🙌

We’re still looking for a few lovely volunteers to help us make tomorrow’s event happen safely:

📱 1 x Barcode Scanner
🏁 1 x Funnel Manager
👋 2 x Marshals

We need these final volunteers to be able to go ahead safely tomorrow, so if you can spare a little time to help, we’d be incredibly grateful! 💚

Whether you volunteer regularly or fancy giving it a go for the first time, we’d love to have you on the team. Every volunteer makes a difference! 🥰

Please comment below or send us a message if you can help.

Thank you for supporting our wonderful junior parkrun community! 💚

🤞 See you all tomorrow morning! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️✨

So it looks like there is going to be a LOT of rain tomorrow 😬

We will be out nice and early on Sunday to check the course and the good news is two-fold:

1️⃣ It’s forecast to be a beautiful morning! ☀️

2️⃣ In the (probably unlikely?!) event the course is underwater and/or considered unusable, we have a NEW WINTER COURSE 🙌

We’re hoping we don’t need it just yet (we’re not afraid of a bit of mud!) but we have an approved alternative ‘out and back’ course that is entirely on the gravel paths - stretching from one end of the park to the other.

The idea is that once we move across to this course (assuming we need to), we will stay on it until we have a sustained period of dry weather.

Either way, we’re looking forward to another beautiful morning in the parks 🌳

Just don’t forget the clocks go back! ⏰
