Great news!
The fifth bedroom 'Bryher' is now complete and open!
This is a single room with a bed that can rise, especially good for those having hip or knee treatments!
This is a garden room so no stairs to go up to get to it!

We always want to provide Isles of Scilly residents with somewhere safe and welcoming during what can often be a stressful time, and now that the Island Haven has been open for several months we truly hope that everyone who has stayed has experienced that and felt well supported throughout their time here.

The Island Haven relies entirely on donations in order to remain open. The majority of our guests kindly give the suggested minimum donation amount, and some are even able to generously donate even more, for which we are incredibly grateful.

However, there have unfortunately been occasions where no donations have been made, we completely understand that some people may be facing financial difficulties and if this is the case, please get in touch with us or chat to us in confidence during your stay and we can see how we can help in any way we can.

These donations are essential for the upkeep and ongoing running of The Island Haven and we do not want there to be a need to increase the minimum donation amount, but we do need guests to support the service where they are able, so that it can continue to be available for those who need it.

Thank you to everyone who has helped to make this facility possible, your support truly makes a difference.

The fifth bedroom, Bryher, is almost finished!
We're just waiting for the bed to arrive (it should be with us this week 🤞) and it will then be bookable online.
The bed in this room will be adjustable so perfect for anyone who may need a bit more assistance and as its a garden room it is also on the flat..

The availability shown on the calendar is 'live' so you can see exactly what is available for your dates.

Don't forget that we still need your help and donations to keep the house running, so please make sure that you use it when you need to, be it for your own hospital appointments, if you are visiting a loved one in the hospital or accompanying someone from the islands.

Please keep your eye out for these leaflets and pick one up when you're out and about, they are in some of the shops, the Post Office, Healthwatch and at the Health Centre as well as the off-islands.

They give you all the details on how to book and also a map and the address and contact details.

There are smaller leaflets as well so pick it up and put the number and the address in your phone!

Exciting news!

We've now had planning permission passed and work will shortly be starting work on the 5th bedroom at The Island Haven.

Once the work starts we will obviously keep any building noise to a minimum and appreciate your understanding whilst any work is taking place.

We would like to thank everyone for your support of the Island Haven, and do hope that those of you who have used it have found it a comfortable place to stay and saved any worries of trying to find accommodation near the hospital.

A huge thank you to everyone who came to the Fun Day on Holgates Green on Sunday.

You raised over £900 for The Island Haven which is amazing, so thank you all so much and in particular to Sheila and all who helped on the stall.

Without you the Island Haven couldn't operate so we really do appreciate each and every penny we receive.
