Caraidean Uibhist SCIO We provide one to one, digital and group interventions to anyone 16+ who may be going through a period of loneliness. Scottish Charity No: SC034083.

We also employ a Substance Misuse Support Worker. Caraidean Uibhist is an all inclusive charity which provides free and confidential support to anyone aged 16+

Our aim is to reduce loneliness and social isolation in our communities. Caraidean Uibhist provides the following services -
One to One visits
One to One telephone calls
Group Activities

World Cup vibes !!!!

Thank you to Finlay Morrison currently studying at Aberdeen University for being a good sport and helping us with our 'beat the goalie' ..... your are a star 🌟

We were also joined by Sarah May from Uist advocacy who spoke about her role and how she can support members off our community

We had some Scotland tunes on the box from Donald and a wee sing along

Thanks as ever to our wonderful volunteers for helping us make these get-togethers possible and thank you to Hunter Macdonald who kindly lent us his goal posts for the day.

We must have sent all our positivity across the water .... Keep it up Scotland!!!

Caraidean Manager, Jo Sinclair, facilitated some dementia training for staff and volunteers today .... here are Mags and Rona wearing one set each of our various 'dementia glasses' .... allowing them to have a better understanding of what can happen to an individuals sight, and the repurcussions of that, when living with dementia.

Caraidean are offering a repeat of the training on wednesday 9th september and early next year for all those who would like to attend but could not make todays date.
