Colin stocks a huge range of high quality materials at excellent prices, so this is sure to be a good night for fly tyers.

Very sad news. Condolences to all of Graham’s family and friends, from all at Ayrshire Fly Dressers.

It is with great sadness that we have to say "goodbye" to one of the great competitors from New Haylie fly fishers, the serial winners of the John Watts trophy . Graham Steele was a stalwart of the team and a true sportsman, always up for a laugh, willing to share knowledge and a delight to share a boat with. Our thoughts go out to his family and team members.

Hi Everyone

Just a reminder that our meeting on Monday 15th December will the last one before we break for Xmas and New Year.
As usual, there will be ice cream and mince pies to go with our tea and coffee.

Just some dates for your diary.

Semperfli are returning to Geilsland Estate in Beith over the weekend of 8th and 9th November.

I know some members attended this event the last time, and the feedback was excellent. Lots of materials available for sale, and many demos from top fly tyers.

It would be great if we could try and support this event.

Hi Everyone

When the geese are flying south, and the nights seem to be drawing in a little, you just know that autumn is around the corner.

Which means that it’s time for the 25/26 sessions of the Ayrshire Fly Dressers to start! 😉.

Our sessions recommence on Monday 1st September, from 7pm in the Townend Centre, Dreghorn.

I look forward to welcoming faces old and new, and I hope everyone has had a great summer, whatever you’ve been up to.

As always, it costs £5 to join the Ayrshire Fly Dressers for the year, and £2 at each subsequent meeting. Taking out a subscription to the Fly Dressers Guild is entirely optional, but available at our first two meetings only, for the reduced cost of £17 for the year.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are always available, as is great advice on fly tying, and the opportunity to talk nonsense with fellow fly tyers for a couple of hours every Monday evening for the next 6 months.

All welcome (under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult).
