📣 I WAS A CADET, NOW I AM…

Ahead of National Cadets Week, 5–11 October, we at Irvine Sea Cadets & Royal Marines Cadets are looking for inspiring stories from our Cadet Alumni!

From the skills you learned, the friendships you made or the confidence you gained, we want to know where your Sea Cadet journey has taken you.

Complete the sentence:

👉 “I was a cadet, now I am…”

You could be a teacher, engineer, member of the Armed Forces, business owner, parent, volunteer, CEO… or something completely different!

📸 Share your story with us in the comments and show the next generation of cadets where being a cadet can take you.

🚐 Help Us Keep Cadets Moving!
We urgently need a new minibus.

Our current vehicle is no longer reliable, and without a replacement our cadets will miss out on vital events, training weekends, competitions, and national opportunities that help build confidence, discipline, and life skills.

With rising fuel and living costs, many families simply can’t afford long‑distance travel.
Our minibus is how we make sure every cadet gets the chance to take part — no matter their background.

We’re fundraising to purchase a safe, dependable minibus that will allow us to continue transporting cadets across Scotland and the UK.

👉 Please donate or share our GoFundMe link:

Every donation and every share genuinely helps.
Thank you for supporting our young people and keeping their opportunities alive.
