We’re incredibly proud of our volunteer ambassador, Kevin!
Kevin has been featured by the BBC, sharing his experience of using Meta smart glasses and how this technology can make a real difference for people living with sight loss.
The BBC story highlights there are growing concerns that people using smart glasses could potentially be asked to remove them, or even be refused entry to places such as restaurants because of privacy concerns.
For people who are blind or partially sighted, this is particularly concerning. These glasses aren't simply a gadget or a camera, for some people, they can be an important assistive technology, helping them identify objects, read information and navigate the world around them more independently.
Nobody should be made to feel excluded simply because they are using technology that helps them live more independently.
