Ipswich Arts Centre is campaigning for a grassroots music venue that will offer a wide range of music and arts and attract local, national & international diverse acts to perform. A venue that will reach out and be attractive to diverse communities, where music and arts practitioners, organisations and promoters, national and local, can operate. An ecumenical space where creativity is encouraged a
nd supported and which welcomes everyone. "Not that long ago Ipswich was on the national circuit for every rising artist. Without a ladder of venues, taking musicians from their first foot on stage to headlining their homecoming gig during a national tour, there's nowhere to inspire young artists - to make them look at a career in music, to give communities shared moments, coming together, celebration. Ipswich is the town with the largest population in England without easy, local access to such facilities. MVT is delighted to support this initiative, to create a part of that ladder in Ipswich."
