Shamaila Waddle, our Community Manager at The Salvation Army Ipswich Priory Centre, joined Wayne Bavin at the BBC Suffolk Studios this morning to discuss the centre’s role and impact within the local community.

During the interview, Shamaila highlighted the contributions Ipswich Priory Centre is making to support the vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our community and urged members of the public to consider volunteering for the centre. She emphasised that the centre’s ability to deliver vital services relies heavily on the dedication and support of its volunteers.

Today’s gathering was especially uplifting, as we shared a soulful time of worship together in the spirit of Palm Sunday. 🌿✨

What a beautiful, sun-filled day at our centre and an excellent feedback! ☀️

The place has been buzzing with warmth, laughter, and community spirit. We were blessed with a truly uplifting worship service led by our wonderful volunteer Sarah Woolven, followed by a delicious lunch service organised by volunteer Alison Notley.

A huge shoutout to all our incredible volunteers—Paul Forest, Sue Davies and Irene Webb—who kept everything running seamlessly, from the café to the charity shop. You are all stars! ⭐

Our next Police Community event is coming up on this week on Thursday 19th March, 9.00 to 10.30am. If you need to discuss any matter that you need help with, please do come over for a chat. No booking necessary, just drop in :)

South East Community Policing Team (CPT) are pleased to be heading back to the Priory Centre on Queen's Way, Nacton for the monthly Community Surgery. Please see the poster for dates and feel free to come along.

The Community Police Team are always out and about however this gives us a dedicated space and time to capture people who might miss us on our mobile and foot patrols.
