Meet Morgan, a resident at Avalon Court, our supported living apartments for adults with a physical or learning disability. Morgan has a story that reminds us why the right support can change everything.

Before moving to Avalon Court, life looked very different for him. Today, with the encouragement of our colleagues and the people around him, Morgan has grown in confidence, independence, and hope for his future.

His journey is one to be proud of.

This week marks Learning Disability Week.

Our Customer Experience team, together with our Supported Housing colleagues, hosted a focus group workshop that brought customers together to share their experiences and offer valuable feedback.

The session focused on identifying clear actions and insights that will help us continue improving how we support customers with learning disabilities.

Hearing their stories of resilience, change, and growing independence was a powerful reminder of why we remain committed to delivering the best possible experience.

Colleagues from our Development team spent time volunteering at FIND Ipswich food bank, supporting the team with a range of tasks throughout the day.

Greg, Orwellā€™s Assistant Director of Development, reflected on the experience:

Tour of Estates 2026 šŸ” šŸšŒ

Last weekā€™s annual Tour of Estates took Board members and colleagues across Suffolk to see new developments, recent investments and upcoming projects.

Stops included the newly acquired Hanford Road site, St Anneā€™s House/Place, Broad Oke, and new homes in development on Old Norwich Road. After meeting residents and colleagues at Crane Hill Lodge, the group visited Wyseman Place for an update on netā€‘zero improvements.

The day wrapped up with visits to shared ownership and rental properties at Lawford Green and Great Bromley, showcasing a mix of new, affordable and sustainable housing across the region.
