As we move into Phase 2 of Awaab’s Law, several colleagues recently attended the Awaab’s Law Phase 2: Preparing Together, Not Reacting Later roundtable event hosted by Social Housing Alliance. The event brought together housing professionals from across the sector to share learning, discuss best practice and explore how organisations are preparing for the next phase.

Last week, residents and colleagues at William Wood House came together to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising an incredible £268 for Macmillan Cancer Support☕

Today is World Mental Health Day 🩵

We recently welcomed Jamie McAnsh to our Knowledge Café, where he shared his personal journey with mental health.

Drawing on his lived experiences, Jamie spoke openly about the challenges he has faced and the lessons he has learned along the way, encouraging colleagues to reflect on the importance of mental wellbeing.

By welcoming speakers like Jamie, we’re helping to raise awareness and understanding of mental health among colleagues.

"The whole garden has been renovated, it looks like a totally different place." - Resident at Fyffe Centre

On National Homelessness Day, we're celebrating the difference a safe, welcoming home can make.

More than 40 Orwell colleagues came together to volunteer at Fyffe Centre, our homelessness hostel in Lowestoft, helping to make it an even more welcoming place for the people who live there.

From painting and repairing furniture to building flower beds, colleagues rolled up their sleeves to transform the space. Thanks to their hard work, the lounge, dining room, kitchen and garden areas have all received a refresh, creating a brighter, more uplifting environment for residents.
