Yet another fabulous week at New Skills, despite the weather, we have kept warm in the centre creating and learning. It's been Chinese New Year this week, so the guys have been making things like Chinese dragons, fortune cookies and plush panda's. The guys in the workshop have been super busy and we have a new teaching corner where we have been learning functional skills ☺️

An excellent time was had by all at the Christmas dinner yesterday. Our chef Debbie, did a tremendous job getting everyone fed with a delicious traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings 🎅

Our first Christmas themed week kicked off with a bang last week with indoor sports, sewing plush mittens, Christmas jumpers galore and a good old boogie at the Christmas disco 🎅🕺 - stay tuned to see what we have in store for this week!

Last week, we spent a very wet and soggy night walking around Illuminate Ipswich, but the rain did not deter us! A massive shout out to Reece and the staff there who walked us around and looked after us so well! The lights were beautiful, the food was banging, and we all had a good giggle :)

Last week's theme in art was Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, so the guys were making clay oompa loompas, plushie Violet Beauregarde's, Wonka Bars and having a go at portrait painting . . . but arts and craft is not all we do here at New Skills, there was some indoor sports, wood burning, a Christmas Quiz and some just having a good old natter with a cuppa!
