What a day!

Our Family Fun Day was about bringing people together: local families from across Ipswich, friends of Family First, families we’ve supported over the years, and some of the brilliant local services we work alongside.

There were games, stalls, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, families simply enjoying time together.

For Family First, that’s a big part of what we want to see. We support families through difficult periods, helping them rebuild confidence, reconnect and get back to enjoying family and community life.

Seeing familiar faces alongside families we’d never met before made the day exactly what we hoped it would be.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, joined in, ran a stall or helped make the day happen.

This is Family First. Families, friends and community.

I was blessed last week to attend an afternoon tea in aid of Family First put together by some of the lovely residents at Otley. The event was a sell out and they even ended up offering take away boxes for those who couldn't get a space meaning an incredible £200 was donated. Thank you all. The company and the food was lovely.

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated individual to join our team in a part-time, self-employed role of up to 12 hours per week.

Happy Friday everyone! How has everyone managed the first week of the summer holidays? We celebrated summer with a team night out. Lovely meal followed by a peaceful walk along the quay.

Recently I had a mum reach out to me who we had supported over 5 years ago. She wanted to know if any of our families could benefit from any knitted goods that she would be happy to provide. She told me that it was her way of paying back Family First for the support we had given her and that she, and her children, would not be where they are today without our support.
It absolutely made my day to know that, all these years later, she still thinks positively about our support. Well done team.
