Could you spare a couple of hours a month to help to local young people?

The 3rd Inverness Boys Brigade is looking for additional volunteers to help support our work with children and young people.

You don't need any previous Boys' Brigade experience just a willingness to help and encourage young people as they learn, grow, and discover.

Whether you can help with activities, assist leaders, or simply lend a hand even a couple of hours a month can make a real difference, we are looking to implement a rota system

Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community, meet new people, and help shape the lives of local young people in a positive environment.

If you'd like to find out more, please get in touch or send us a message. We'd love to hear from you.

We have local groups in over 650 communities across the country, providing children and young people with opportunities to learn, grow and discover in a safe, fun and caring environment which is rooted in the Christian faith πŸ™Œ

We are open to children and young people aged 5-18 (some groups start at 4 years old) and have a varied programme of activities which encourage them to develop skills, build confidence, make friends, take responsibility, explore faith and make a difference in their communities.

Good luck to William who was nominated recently by young leaders from across the area to stand for election to become the next North Scottish Area Under 26 on the Scotland Committee.

William who grew up in the company is also a leader at 46th Aberdeen while studying at university.

William has already shown dedication to getting stuck in at a National Level with recently helping to write themed programmes for BB groups across the country to use and attending various Young Leader events

SCOTLAND COMMITTEE ELECTION

It’s election time (no, not that one) in the North!

Two candidates have been nominated to fill the North Scottish Under 26 Seat on the Scotland Committee to serve for a period of 3 years.

The candidates are Ross Duthie (Incumbent) from 1st Fraserburgh/Buchan Battalion and Will MacKenzie from 3rd Inverness/Highland Battalion.

Companies and Battalions have one vote each in the election, with voting papers delivered via email to Company Captains and Battalion Secretaries.

Candidate bios have been sent out with the voting papers to let Companies and Battalions learn more about each candidate.

Both young men are popular in the North and it is sure to be a close vote! Be sure to cast your company vote!

Congratulations to Struan, who won a merit in the North Scottish Area Easter colouring competition! πŸ†πŸŽ¨ Well done! 🌟
