Originally HBJC was based at Inverness Sports Centre, but over the years it has grown and now also trains at Inverness Millburn Academy, Dingwall Leisur

e Centre, Central Primary Inverness and Farr Hall. HBJC is a friendly club catering for junior and senior players. We welcome all from age 5 years and over. HBJC has grown into a nationally respected Judo club both through its hard work in the communities it is based in and through the successful Judoka (Judo Players) it has produced. Our Judoka have represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Games and represented Great Britain at World and European Cups along with the many varying Competitions. To date the Club has produced Scottish and British Champions. Commonwealth Games medalists, European and World Cup Medalists as well as the vast number of national and international results they have secured. Many players have also represented Scotland and Great Britain in various squads training camps World wide. HBJC seeks to foster and develop the practise and spirit of Judo. HBJC aims to encourage its judoka to be self confident members of their communities, to be healthy, both mentally and physically. To enjoy the sport and be the best they can’t be. The club caters for both club judo and competitive judo. The club is a member of the British Judo Association and Judo Scotland.

Thrilled to announce that both Lucy Daly and Angus Mowat have been selected to represent Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 at The National Team Championships as part of the Cadet and Pre-Cadet Squads.

JudoScotland is delighted to confirm 36 judoka from 13 clubs will represent Scotland at the British National Team Championships 2026!

Following an exceptional 2025, in which all six teams secured podium finishes, this year’s squads will be aiming to defend and build on their outstanding results.

Lucy is just back from an intensive 4 days at an International Training Camp in Riccione, Italy with the Judo Scotland squad.

Lucy gained valuable experience training incredibly hard and fighting players from all over Europe.

We were away competing again this weekend. The third Grand Prix of the series. This time to Aberdeen for the Granite City Grand Prix.

Unfortunately Lewis sustained a dislocated shoulder during his fight in the final. He'll be out of action for a while. We wish him a speedy and full recovery.

Reminder - Monday Training Sessions - Temporary change of venue.

On the following dates, the Monday session will run from Millburn Academy.

Monday 1st, 15th and 22nd June. Please note the slight change to the session times.

Class Timings
Class 1 5-8 year olds- 6-7pm
Class 2 9-12 year olds- 7pm-8pm
Class 3 13+/Seniors- 8pm-9pm

** Normal classes will run at Inverness Leisure on Monday 8th June **
