WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT 📸
We're incredibly excited to offer this opportunity here at Island Darkroom - join us in Achmore for a 2-day workshop learning how to create your own Cyanotype Animations from one of the UK's leading Cyanotype artists, Edd Carr.
Co-director of The Sustainable Darkroom, Edd has extensive experience in creating and experimenting with Cyanotypes – as well as adapting them into an animation process. This workshop will lead participants from start to finish in creating their own Cyanotype animations. Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to create a short animated GIF using Cyanotypes.
Founded by Hannah Fletcher, The Sustainable Darkroom is a pioneering artist-led, research community that develops low-toxicity chemistries and practices in photography.
Dates : Saturday 7th - Sunday 8th November 2026.
Times: 10am - 3pm both days
Cost: £49
Location: Island Darkroom, Achmore, Isle of Lewis.
No prior experience required, participants must be 16+
