P*E IN A BUCKET?

It's probably the question we get asked most about waulking the wool.

The answer is NO.

While traditional waulking did once involve p*eing, the Badnoch Waulking Group demonstrate using a thankfully dry cloth .

So come along to Outlander Day in the Highlands on 6th June 2026 and try waulking the wool for yourself. at Highland Folk Museum

You'll get the singing, the laughter and the Outlander experience...
