Reshaping Care for Older People (RCOP) Highland is a partnership initiative which aims to improve the lives and outcomes for older people in the Highlands. This page aims to promote community services and activities to keep older people healthier and happier in their communities. By 2033, over half the population in Scotland will be aged over 60. The proportion of people aged over 75, who

are the highest users of health and social care services, is likely to have increased by 60%. The ageing population will require a shift in the balance of resources so we need to support measures which can prevent someone needing to go into hospital or a care home. The vision for Reshaping Care for Older People is "Older people are values as an asset, their voices heard and they are supported to enjoy full and positive lives in their own home or in a homely setting".
