🥾🌳 What an adventure! 🌳🥾

This evening, Cathedral Beavers enjoyed a fantastic hike around the beautiful Ness Islands in Inverness, exploring our local area and discovering some of the wonderful wildlife, woodland paths and scenery right on our doorstep. 🌿🐦🌊

Our Beavers walked an impressive 1.66 miles, showing great teamwork, enthusiasm and determination every step of the way! 💙👏

It’s amazing what you can find when you take the time to explore your own community. Well done, Beavers! 🎉🦫

🦫💜🎉 40 Years of Beaver Scouts… and we’re celebrating by giving back! 🎉💜🦫

This year marks a very special Triple Birthday Year in Scouting:

🦫 40 Years of Beavers
🐺 110 Years of Cubs

To celebrate, Inverness Cathedral Beavers are taking on a “40 for 40 Challenge” — collecting 40 essential items to support the amazing work of inSpire at Inverness Cathedral ❤️

We’re gathering donations for:
🥫 Food Bank
🧴 Toiletries & Baby Bank
👕 School Uniform Bank
🧥 Winter Jacket Bank

From tinned soup and pasta to nappies, school shoes, jackets and toiletries — every single donation will help local families and individuals across the Highlands 💚

📍 Kenneth Street Hall, Church House, 9–11 Kenneth Street, Inverness

💚 Please ensure any pre-loved clothing donations are clean, freshly washed, and in good condition.

Cathedral Beavers: What a fantastic evening for Cathedral Beavers! 🦫✨

Tonight we celebrated welcoming 2 new Beavers with their investiture 🎉👏 — a very special moment in their Scouting journey! We also spent time writing thank you cards for everyone who helped make our recent Beaver Camp such a success 💌⛺

The evening was rounded off with team games, lots of laughter, and of course some classic campfire singing around the hall 🔥🎶

Well done Beavers — and thank you to all our wonderful leaders, helpers and families who make these adventures possible! 💙

🏃‍♂️🗺️ What a fantastic day of adventure and exploration for the 2nd Kingsmills patrols as they took on the District Monopoly Run around Inverness! From bagging Monopoly squares to navigating the city streets, there was plenty of teamwork, energy and fun along the way. 🎲👏

A brilliant achievement too, with both teams finishing in the top 10 out of 26 teams! 🏅💪

Well done to everyone who took part and represented the group so brilliantly.

🏕️🔥 What a fantastic weekend for our inaugural Cathedral Beaver Camp!

There was laughter, adventure, exploring, games, campfire fun, cooking, friendship and so many wonderful memories made together. Our Beavers embraced every moment with enthusiasm, courage and joy — and it was wonderful to see them growing in confidence and community throughout the camp. 🦫✨

A huge thank you to all of our incredible leaders and volunteers who gave their time, energy and care to make this camp possible. Without your dedication, encouragement and endless patience, camps like this simply could not happen. 💛👏

We are so proud of our Cathedral Beavers and all they achieved on their very first camp adventure. Here’s to many more camps, memories and adventures ahead! 🌟⛺🔥

🏕️🔥 2nd Inverness Scout Group enjoyed a fantastic May Camp at Brodie Castle this weekend! From exploring the beautiful surroundings to cooking outdoors, pioneering projects and singing around the campfire, it was a weekend full of adventure, teamwork and fun.

A huge thank you to all the leaders, volunteers and supporters who made the camp possible — and well done to all the Scouts for embracing every part of the experience with such enthusiasm. Scouting continues to help young people grow in confidence, friendship and resilience through shared adventure.

Here’s to many more camps and memories still to come! 🌲⛺🍳🔥

Cathedral Beavers: a busy time at Beavers this week as we continued our work on our Space Badge; decorating our space themed biscuits; team games in our lodges; and then a trip to the International Space Station, where we were able to hear the astronauts and have a view of what they see from space. Cathedral Beavers: Monday 11th May, and we were on a journey to space. Exploring lots of facts about space and beyond! We learned that of the 12 people who have walked on the moon, 11 of them have been in either beavers, cubs and scouts.
We designed our space biscuits which will be made next week!
