3rd Inverness (Crown) Scout Group Through the adventure of Scouting, young people get to take risks in a safe environment, and have their first taste of responsibility. Did they have fun?

Since our birth in 1916, Crown Scout Group has provided a fun, challenging & exciting programme of Scouting activities for young people in the Crown district of Inverness. We give young people experiences they'll never forget. In Scouting, we provide over 200 activities from abseiling to zorbing ('that's falling out of the sky in a foam ball in case you were wondering). If we don't have an instruc

tor who can help we can normally find someone who can. But Scouting isn't just about activities for their own sake. We encourage our young people to feel the buzz of the challenge and then reflect on what that means. Do they feel more confident? Would they do it again? All this is made possible by the efforts of more than 450 voluntary adult leaders. With award winning training and one-to-one support, we make sure that each one of our volunteers gets to make the best use of their skills and talents. It's something different from the norm, and that why a lot of people like it.' In fact, it's what's made us the largest co-educational youth Movement in the country.

Only a few days left until the fun kicks off… Just so everyone knows, this is an open/ public event (not just for our young people and their immediate family) so please consider sharing and encouraging friends, family, colleagues or neighbours to attend.

We are really hoping for and looking forward to a well attended event. This will make the night itself more fun, but also maximise our fundraising possibilities which will ensure we can enhance the experiences available to all our squirrels, beavers, cubs and scouts.

Come along for a night of family fun! And don’t forget to bring some cash as we raise funds to enhance the programmes on offer across all 4 sections: Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs & Scouts, as well as begin to make much needed upgrades to our hall.

Doors open from 6.30pm, with a round or 2 of stand-up bingo before the quiz starts at 7pm.
Quiz will be finished no later than 8.30pm and the night will conclude with some more games and our raffle draw.

Tickets are £2.50 per person - teams of up to 4 (or up to 6 if including 2 or more children).

Tickets available on the night, but please try to register your interest before then to guarantee your space/ team.

Fantastic turnout today, thanks to the squirrel, beaver, cubs and scouts and leaders for coming along to help selling scout post stamps at Tesco Inshes this morning. Remember stamps are on sale until this Wednesday.
