The Great Cub Pirate Sleepover (Saturday)

After building our Fort there was time before lunch to design some new pirate hats and flags to decorate our hall with. Then after lunch the cubs did a brilliant job tidying up before our search for the treasure chest!

Finally because everyone was so good there was time for a few more games before we decided to have one more fire and some S’mores to finish!

Thank you to all the cubs and volunteers for such a great time!

The Great Cub Pirate Sleepover (Friday)!

Friday Night - Cubs got themselves settled into their Pirate Hall and then played some games before a campfire and s’mores. They even slept!

Saturday Morning - Up for breakfast, then our pirate roll call before some Fort building and walking the plank practice!

Bit more fire safety for the cubs tonight. They made some new awareness posters for the hall, practiced a fire drill and learnt about testing smoke detectors. Then outside for some games to finish the night off!

Not many pictures from tonight at Cubs (too busy chatting)! First night now we are off the water was spent on some Fire Safety (an essential part of getting S’mores!) and planning our programme for the rest of the year. Cubs drew pictures of the badges they wanted to do with time for some quick games and hot chocolate to round out the night.

Some pictures from the weekend when some of our leaders and friends from other Scout Groups in INBS District were out with Leaders from Avoch and Forres Scout Groups providing Safety Boat cover for Monster the Loch, a big rowing event on Loch Ness. The conditions were challenging for competitors, but the crews did well in keeping them safe on the water….
