Super Sam

Super Sam Follow Sam on his therapeutic journey as we try to help him reach for the stars..... It was an incredible shock to discover at birth Sam had microcephaly.

Sam Cooper Douglas was born at 39 weeks gestation on the 18th September 2014 to Steph & Kris following a healthy and normal pregnancy. He was taken for a MRI at 1 day old where it was discovered that his brain had not grown to its full size. It was thought this was a genetic cause and it has since been confirmed as a condition so rare that it’s 1:1billion! It’s a denovo variation meaning it has no

t been inherited by either parent and was just a random occurrence with no cause at conception. In recent months, close friends Jenni, Lynda and Steph's big sister Nicola have begun a fundraising campaign to support Sam to continue different therapies. Steph and Kris have been touched to the core to discover how many people, friends, family and some strangers have wanted to help give their little boy the best he deserves. Its been incredible watching it all unravel. Follow this page if you wish to see Sam's progression on this journey! With love and thanks,
