Comann nam Pàrant

Comann nam Pàrant Tha Oifigear Phàrant Nàiseanta maonichte le Bòrd na Gàidhlig airson taic a thoirt do phàrantan agus airson foghlam tron Gàidhlig a bhrosnachadh.

Comann nam Pàrant aig Ìre Nàiseanta:

Chaidh Comann nam Pàrant (Nàiseanta) (CnP(N)) a stèidheachadh le Comunn na Gàidhlig ann an 1994, an dèidh iarrtas bho phàrantan airson a leithid. Tha cothrom aig a h-uile sgìre far a bheil buidhnean ionadail CnP a bhith air an riochdachadh air a' Chomataidh Nàiseanta, a' ciallachadh gu bheil guth nam pàrant ri chluinntinn air ìre nàiseanta. Tha CnP(N) airson b

eachdan phàrantan a chur an cèill dhan Riaghaltas agus airson obrachadh còmhla ri buidhnean leasachaidh na Gàidhlig agus ùghdarrasan ionadail ann a bhith a' coileanadh an amais "foghlam tron Ghàidhlig adhartachadh." Comann nam Pàrant at National Level:

The umbrella body, Comann nam Pàrant (Nàiseanta), was set up by Comunn na Gàidhlig in 1994 as a direct response to parental request. All areas with local CnP groups are able to be represented on the national committee, thus ensuring that all parents can have a voice at national level. The organisation seeks to present the parental viewpoint to the Government and to liaise with Gaelic development bodies and Local Authorities in their efforts to fulfil the primary aim "to advance education throuht the medium of Gaelic." A National Parental Officer is funded by Bòrd na Gàidhlig to support parents and promote Gaelic medium education

This is a rare opportunity to hear from and speak to representatives from Highland Council and Gaelic organisations about Gaelic in schools in Sutherland - looking at both Gaelic Medium Education, as well as what can be done with regards to Gaelic for children already in primary and secondary.

The meeting is relevant to parents with children from birth up to secondary school. Please come along if you’re interested or even just a little bit intrigued and want to learn more about Gaelic for your child(ren).

For Gaelic to be considered in schools there must firstly be a demand from parents, so it would be great to see lots of you there.

Please share with anyone you think might be interested.

Mòran taing 😃

Abair sheachdain a bh’ againn ann an Dùn Èideann airson Seachdain Dhùn Èideann. Bha 17 sgoiltean an làthair bho air feadh na dùthcha le seiseanan a’ gabhail àite aig Caisteal Dhùn Èideann, Taigh Tasgaidh Nàisteanta na h-Alba, Dynamic Earth, Luchairt Taigh an Ròid agus Gailearaidh Portraid Nàiseanta na h-Alba! Mòran taing do gach sgoil a bha an làthair tron t-seachdain agus do na diofar àiteachan agus luchd-lìbhrigidh airson an cothrom seo a thoirt dha na sgoilearan FMG.

We had a great week in Edinburgh at Gaelic Schools week. There were 17 different schools from across the country attending sessions at Edinburgh Castle, National Museum of Scotland, Dynamic Earth, Palace of Holyroodhouse and National Portrait Galleries of Scotland!
Many thanks to all the schools who attended and to each attraction and facilitator for their work to bring this opportunity to GME pupils.
