***IMPORTANT NEWS***
After 35 years of cat rescue in the Inverness area, assisted by husband Derik for the past 20, I have decided that it’s time to hang up the cat baskets and retire! Sadly the cat rescue will close.
I’d like to thank everybody for making our wee rescue such a huge success over the years. Not least our fantastic vets MacLellan Vets, and previously Eastgate Vet Practice. It was Ed Jolley, now retired, who persuaded me to start an independent rescue 15 years ago when I retired from Cats Protection, and who enabled the rescue to become established through his generous support.
Thanks to all who made the rescue possible, from the folk who donated a small amount of cat food to the folk who donated financially on a monthly basis. Also thanks to those who helped out in practical ways.
We aim to continue providing back-up help/advice if needed to owners of any of the cats we’ve rehomed, but will no longer be taking messages on the page here, and no longer providing a lost/found service on the page.
All remaining funds after we have settled accounts etc will be donated to Munlochy Animal Aid, as they are 100% local, and Iona does a fantastic job with cats as well as dogs and other animals.
I have made so many wonderful friends through my cat rescue work (thankfully the awful people were in the minority!), and hope to continue these friendships going forward.
Thank you all so much.
Heather.
