This Volunteers' Week we'd like to thank Peter, our amazing volunteer delivery driver. From delivering food in all weather, jumping in to help us last minute and making sure we stay on schedule with all our outside catering, we're so grateful for all his help. He just about had time to collect his thank you gift before rushing out on another delivery. Thanks Peter!

Take a look at what we’ve been up to at Calman this month.

Young people have been busy preparing scones, fruit loaves and other treats for Inverness Foodstuff's weekly Wednesday lunches at the Hilton Community Centre, as well as developing their barista skills in Café Artysans.

We’ve also been testing new menu ideas in Café Artysans and it’s fantastic to see one young person successfully move into a job! 👏

A lovely time was had on Tuesday's Club Artysans, with a variety of activities including bracelet making, paper-plane racing and origami crafting 💜

Join us next Tuesday for a spring-themed session! Chocolate eggs may be involved... 🌷🥚🐣 We meet at Café Artysans every Tuesday from 6-8pm 😊

Club Artysans is for you if you are aged 15+ and:
✏️ have left school without a plan or
✏️ are not attending school or
✏️ have care experience

We were thrilled to collaborate with Sarah and Inspiring Young Voices to bring accessible menus to Café Artysans.

It’s a fantastic initiative, and we’re proud to support something that will help make the café more inclusive for everyone.

‘I wanted to make it easier for people’: An inspired idea from a young Highlander means visually impaired café-goers in Inverness will no longer have difficulty ordering.

We are delighted to share that Calman Trust is part of CashBack for Communities Phase 7. This phase focuses on early and effective prevention, strengthening community connections, and creating positive opportunities for young people facing the greatest challenges.

We are very proud to be part of this national partnership and look forward to delivering meaningful impact over the next three years.

Through this and all of our work, we aim to support young people to feel empowered, connected, and confident about their futures.
