Busy day at The Old High today with a delivery of chairs and surplus office furniture kindly donated by UHI Inverness - thank you very much! A special thank you to Kristina from UHI for all her help.

One of the first tasks for The Old High Board is to ensure proper drainage for the building. Currently there is no map showing where the drains go across the graveyard. Caroline Leese and Barry Fairbairn today used their experience as architectural technicians and technologists, and in the use of dowsing rods, to give us some first clues as to where the drains might be. Thanks Caroline and Barry. If anybody else has information or expertise which might help do get in touch.

This photograph taken in the Old High Church Yard shows 3 stones at the rear of the stone where the Jacobite Prisoners were
executed. When I was there the other day taking some photographs I was approached by a German couple
were interested in the ex*****on stones when I pointed them out the gentleman showed me these three stones and possible
bullet marks. I was intrigued and went to the point where the Hanoverian ex*****on would have been and found that all the
gravestones between the two ex*****on stones would not have been there at the time of these ex*****ons. Looks very convincing to me that this is entirely possible and the marks are better than the gunshot marks on the Church itself.Incidentally the stone on the right of the three has at least 5 more holes on it but I have only pointed out 1 on each stone
