🎨 A Huge Thank You! 🎨

One of our wonderful parents who has kindly taken on the task of painting our school shelter! 🖌️🏫

We’re incredibly grateful for the time, effort and hard work being put into giving the shelter a much-needed refresh.

It’s lovely to see our school community coming together to make our outdoor space a brighter, more welcoming place for the children. 💛

Thank you for making a difference! 🌈

🎲🐞 What a fantastic Beetle Drive! 🐞🎲

What a brilliant evening! The hall was buzzing with laughter, friendly competition and a really lovely atmosphere.

We had 7 tables of 4 playing Beetle, with plenty of excitement as everyone tried to roll the numbers they needed to complete their beetles! 🎲🐞

We were also incredibly lucky to have an amazing selection of raffle prizes, generously donated by local businesses and supporters. 🎁 The Gilded Lily, The Entertainer, Grape Tree, Søstrene Grene Inverness, Springfield PLC and so many individuals who kindly donated prizes

And then there was the incredible food spread! 🧁🍰🥪 A massive thank you toLaura, her sister Antonia and Aga for providing such a fantastic selection — it looked amazing and went down an absolute treat!

❤️ Together we raised an amazing £288.76 after expenses for Bishop Eden’s Primary School! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came along, donated prizes, bought raffle tickets, helped behind the scenes and supported the evening. A special thank you also goes to Inverness Cathedral, dedicated to St. Andrew for kindly allowing us to use their hall for the event.

Seeing everyone chatting, laughing and having fun together created exactly the kind of community atmosphere we hoped for.

📣 Parent Council Poll Results

Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete our recent poll! We had 10 responses, and the results are now in. 😊

🌟 Parent Council Meetings

Monday, 3–4pm was the preferred option, receiving 50% of the vote, with a further 30% having no preference.

➡️ Future Parent Council meetings will therefore be held on Mondays, 3–4pm, during Bible Club.

🗓️ Our next meeting will be Monday 21st September.

🎲 Beetle Drive

For the Beetle Drive, 50% had no preference between the two dates, with 10% preferring each individual date.

We have therefore decided to hold our:

🎲 BEETLE DRIVE
🗓️ Friday 25th September
⏰ 7pm

We’ve chosen the 25th because the school in-service day the previous week means we wouldn’t have been able to hold a Parent Council meeting on the Monday immediately before an event on the 18th. Choosing the 25th allows us to meet on Monday 21st September to finalise all the arrangements just a few days beforehand.

A huge thank you to everyone who responded — it really helps us plan meetings and events at times that work for as many families as possible. 💙

More details about the Beetle Drive will follow soon! 🎲🎉

💛 A wee Easyfundraising update! 💛

We’ve now raised an amazing £110.53 from 106 donations for Bishop Eden’s — simply from supporters doing their usual online shopping! 🎉

⭐ And we’re just 9 new supporters away from an extra £10!

Until 6 September, Easyfundraising is giving us bonus donations for new supporters. We need 9 more to unlock our first £10 bonus — with the chance to earn even more as our supporter numbers grow! 🙌

🏢 Remember, businesses can support us too!
A business recently signed up to support Bishop Eden’s and has already raised a donation simply by booking their usual train tickets through Trainline. 🚆💛

So it’s not just parents who can help — grandparents, friends, family, workplaces and local businesses can all choose Bishop Eden’s as their cause.

📣 WE NEED YOUR INPUT – YOUR OPINION MATTERS! 📣

We have two quick decisions to make following our Parent Council AGM, and we’d love to hear from as many of our school families as possible! ❤️

📅 PARENT COUNCIL MEETINGS
As Tuesday childcare is no longer available, we’re looking at moving our meetings to coincide with an after-school club:
👉 Monday, 3–4pm – during Bible Club
👉 Thursday, 3–4pm – during Caley Club
We usually meet once a term, with extra meetings if we have an event to organise.

🎲 BEETLE DRIVE
Our original date falls on the Friday before the long September weekend, so we’re looking at moving it to:
👉 Friday 18th September
OR
👉 Friday 25th September

⏰ We need to get both dates confirmed so we can book the hall and schedule our next meeting.

📝 Please complete our very quick Google Form by 11pm TOMORROW – Friday 28th August: https://forms.gle/uTFhguszU3FoUK6j6

⭐ Even if you don’t usually attend Parent Council meetings, please have your say — your opinion matters!

Having any problems with the form or have a question? Just message Siobhan-Kirsty on 07873 106297. No query or question is too silly! 😊

📅 Parent Council Meetings Our meetings have latterly been held on Tuesdays when childcare was available. As this is no longer the case, we’d like to move them to coincide with an after-school club: Monday, 3–4pm – during Bible Club Thursday, 3–4pm – during Caley Club We usually meet onc...
