๐ŸŽน Young Organists Day at Inverness Cathedral ๐ŸŽน

Saturday 20th June 2026

Join us for a special day celebrating the next generation of organists as Inverness Cathedral opens its doors to young musicians throughout the day. From first notes to confident performances, itโ€™s a wonderful chance to hear the pipe organ played with fresh energy and talent.

โœจ Throughout the day: young organists will be taking to the console, sharing music and gaining valuable performance experience in the cathedralโ€™s magnificent acoustic.

๐ŸŽถ Featured highlight at 3pm: a recital with Hannah Spencer and Stefan Von Delft โ€” not to be missed!

Weโ€™d love to see you there supporting and encouraging these young musicians as they share their gifts.

Come along, listen, and be part of a day celebrating music, learning, and inspiration.

Today the Scottish Episcopal Church remembers those Episcopalians who carried on their traditions of worship during the years of the Penal Laws in the eighteenth century.

Following the political and religious upheavals of the late seventeenth century, many Episcopalians in Scotland found themselves restricted in how they could worship. Clergy faced penalties, chapels were closed, and congregations often gathered quietly in homes and remote places. Yet despite hardship and uncertainty, they continued to pray, worship, and hand on their faith tradition.

Their story is a reminder that communities of faith do not flourish because of power or privilege, but because of ordinary people who remain committed to what they value, even when times are difficult.

The Scottish Episcopal Church of today exists because of the courage, perseverance, and quiet faithfulness of those who came before us. As we remember them, we give thanks for the legacy they left and reflect on the values that sustain communities through every age: hope, resilience, and faith.
