Excited to launch our Angus the Bear's First Day at School created by our Inspire Highland Young People.

Angus is a real teddy bear who lives with his best friend Hayley in the Highlands of Scotland. He was created to help start conversations about the experiences of autistic young people and to support greater inclusion across our communities.

This story was developed by young people involved in the Inspire Highland project, supported by Inspiring Young Voices. Working alongside writer Jen Hadfield and illustrator Katie Wilson, they shaped Angusโ€™s first day at school based on their own lived experiences. The result is a gentle, engaging story that offers insight into some of the challenges faced in new or unfamiliar environments.

To buy a copy of your own please click on the link below. All proceeds go towards Inspiring Young Voices to help us champion more voices from children and young people across the Highlands.

LGBT Youth Scotland and Youth Highland have some fantastic opportunities for young people to get involved with Pride this summer - whether you identify as LGBTQ+, or are an ally, you are welcome to come along. Pride is a great opportunity to celebrate how wonderful it is to be you - to meet like-minded people, and to use your voice to make a difference.

๐๐š๐ง๐ง๐ž๐ซ ๐Œ๐š๐ค๐ข๐ง๐

LGBT Youth Scotland are working with Youth Highland and High Life Highland to run a banner making session in advance of Highland Pride - where young people can come together, hang out and make their own placard:

๐Ÿ“…5th June between 3pm and 7pm
๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธAll materials provided
๐Ÿ“McLean Room at Eden Court

๐˜๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐’๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ž

LGBT Youth Scotland and Youth Highland are working together to create a youth space at Highland Pride. In a time where the voices of prejudice and discrimination seem to be growing louder, we want LGBTQ+ young people โ€“ and their friends and allies - to have a joyful space where they can celebrate who they are and have a lot of fun.

Young people will be able to come along to the McLean Room in Eden Court (12.30 -5pm) to spend time together and take part in:

โญBadge Making
๐Ÿ“ธA fun photo booth
๐Ÿฆ„Face painting
๐ŸŽจArts and crafts
