Stock Harvard WI held a Chardonnay and Crochet Evening at their May meeting. There was crochet tuition for those that wanted it, wine, soft drinks and snacks. We rounded off the night with a fun quiz with a prize for the winning team. A relaxed social evening as our speaker had cancelled. Everyone enjoyed it so we will have social evenings again in the future.

Members of Stock Harvard WI walking group enjoyed a lovely bluebell walk around the woodlands of Stock and surrounding areas in April. The sun ☀️ was shining too

Stock Harvard WI treasurer Anne presented local representative Mark Neville from the Alzheimer’s Society with a cheque for £650 at our April meeting. The money was a share of the proceeds from our very successful Crockpot lunch held in February at the village hall and attended by special guest Sir Trevor Brooking

Stock Ladies. Come and join us for our next meeting on Thursday 21 May at Stock Village Hall @ 7.30. Theme is Chardonnay and Crochet. (Neither are obligatory) Come and meet new friends. We have welcomed 13 new members so far
this membership season. We also have an active and well attended walking group, two book clubs, (one daytime, one evening) a gardening club and a ladies darts team who compete in the WI league. We have 3 events organised for the month of June which new members will be welcome to join in. Come and check us out. We are a friendly group and will make you welcome. £5 admission for visitors. We look forward to seeing you!

12 ladies from Stock Harvard WI gardening group went awalking.. first stop Essex wildlife Trust at Great Warley. 1.5 hour guided tour with expert. Followed by a hearty lunch at The Thatchers Arms. Rounded up with a guided tour of fascinating Arts and Crafts designed Great Warley church. Brilliant day out.
