🚧 You may have noticed that the Main Hall is currently closed while Phase 1 of the upgrade works gets underway here at Ingatestone Community Centre.

We’re pleased to share that works are anticipated to be completed by the end of the month, and we look forward to bringing back a full calendar of regular activities from June onwards.

🎭 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗥𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗦 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 ❤️

At the heart of Ingatestone & Fryerning Community Centre, this space is used week in, week out by local groups, performers, and the wider community. But like many well-loved spaces, it needs some care, investment, and a vision for the future.

We have big ambitions to improve the theatre and make it an even better place for everyone – from upgraded lighting and sound to improved accessibility and even exploring ways to make the space more comfortable all year round. Works are due to start in mid-May, and we’re fundraising now to complete as much as possible during this initial phase. How much we can achieve depends on the support we receive.

Ingatestone Community Centre date for your diary!

After an enjoyable evening listening to the mellow tone of Mike All Buble and then dancing to the fabulous music of Robbing Williams we are delighted to announce our next tribute night will be on Saturday 3rd October 2026. OK, so Take That couldn’t fit us in to their Circus tour but luckily, we have the next best thing and we will be welcoming TAKE THIS back to the stage here at the Community Centre.

Performing the hits that now span over 20 years, these talented young men faithfully recreate the sounds of arguably the greatest pop boy band of all time with a terrific and energetic show. So, dig out your dancing shoes and come along to join us for what promises to be another evening of great music.

Tickets will be on sale from 11am on Tuesday 25th August at a price of £20.00 (non members) with IFCA members able to buy tickets from the office at a discounted rate of £16.00.

Once again, we plan to have the hall set up with tables, cabaret style, and numbers are limited so make sure you get your tickets before they sell out.

Thank you to everyone who came along to the tribute night yesterday and enjoyed another evening of live music at the Community Centre. A big thank you too to Robbing Williams for a fabulous evening that had everyone joining in on the dance floor.

Don't forget the date of the next tribute night, 3rd October 2026 when we will be welcoming Take This to the stage at IFCC. Watch this space for more details regarding ticket sales.

𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆

We are currently looking to install a hearing support system at the Community Centre. This is something that members have been requesting for some time, and we’re now exploring the best way to make it happen.

As part of this we would like to gather feedback to help guide us towards the most suitable solution and have put together a short survey. If you’re able to spare a couple of minutes to complete it, it would really help to ensure that any system we install works well for the people who will use it. There are no right or wrong answers — we simply want to understand what would work best for you.

Dear Members, Centre Users and Local Community,

Ingatestone & Fryerning Community Association (IFCA) is announcing important updates to parking arrangements at Ingatestone Community Centre, effective from 9 March 2026.

As a registered charity, IFCA aims to encourage parking at the Community Centre for IFCA members, Centre users, and the wider local community at low cost and to be available throughout the day. Income generated from the car park plays a vital role in supporting the running, maintenance, and ongoing development of the Centre, helping us to keep facilities affordable and available to all.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱
The car park has increasingly been used for longer-term parking. This has reduced availability making it difficult for members and Centre users to find spaces. Accordingly, it has become necessary to introduce some adjustments to the charging arrangements.

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
With effect from 9 March 2026, the following changes will apply:
• 𝗠𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆: Vehicles will not be able to stay for more than 5 hours (except valid permit holders)
• 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘀 (first revision in three years) leaving short-term parking the same low cost with modest increases for those staying between 2 hours and 5 hours
• 𝗘𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱: Car park charges will apply between 7:00am – 5:00pm, Mon - Sat (previously 9:00am – 6:00pm, Mon - Sat)

Permit holder arrangements remain unaffected at this time. However, permit numbers continue to be limited, and a waiting list remains in place.

These changes are designed to:
• Increase vehicle turnover and availability of spaces
• Protect access for Centre users and members
• Maintain parking as a low-cost, community-focused facility
• Secure essential charitable income to sustain the Community Centre

We are grateful for your continued support and understanding. By making these measured adjustments, we hope the Community Centre remains accessible, welcoming, and affordable for everyone who depends on it.
