⛑️Tomorrow all pupils will be taking part in a brilliant first aid course in school. Learning these essential life skills isn’t budgeted for by the government, so we are very lucky that FOBS funds can pay for such things. £999 very well spent! Don’t forget your child needs to bring in a teddy bear as their ‘patient’! ⛑️

🎪As you may have heard, THE CIRCUS is coming to Blackmore this summer! Friends of Blackmore School have organised this amazing family experience to help raise money for the school, and we are so excited about it!

The circus will be taking place in the Millennium field (opposite the Village Hall by the overflow car park) on Sunday 19th July, with the show starting at 2pm. The two hour show will be full of amazingly talented acts from this professional circus! Please note, this circus considers animal welfare highly so there will be no animals involved in the circus. The gates will open at midday so please join us for lunch beforehand, and seats can be taken from 1.30pm. We will have cold drinks, ice creams, hot donuts, fish and chips and burgers available before and after the circus. There will be a short interval to buy drinks and snacks too.

Tickets are £12 each, with under 2’s being free of charge if sitting on a parent / carer’s lap. The circus will be open to the whole community so please tell your friends and family!

We ask that you arrive at the circus on foot please. There will be strictly no parking at the Village Hall on the day (due to the circus vehicles taking space), with the exception of a small number of disabled parking spaces. If you require one of these spaces, please ‘purchase’ a free parking ticket and we will be in touch. Please note a blue badge is required for these spaces.

🎪Our PTA is currently planning our annual large FUNdraising event, which will take place on Sunday 19th July 2026. We are delighted to have booked Happy's Circus to entertain families with their incredible acts! They are renowned for providing professional circus entertainment to schools and have an excellent reputation for delivering well-attended, high-quality shows. The Big Top seats 600 guests, and if our circus event in 2022 is anything to go by, this will be a sell out!

Friends of Blackmore School is run entirely by volunteers who work tirelessly to raise money to create the best possible school experience for our pupils. The money raised from this event will go directly towards enriching the lives of Blackmore Primary School pupils, including purchasing much-needed IT equipment, playground toys and games, and support with coach transport costs to ensure children can continue to enjoy educational school trips throughout the year. We would be incredibly grateful if your business would consider supporting the school by purchasing advertising space in our event programme. Our circus programme will be handed out free of charge to spectators and will include the show schedule, cast information, activities for the children to do, artwork from our pupils and company advertisements. If you’d like to support us and have a half page advert in our programme the donation amount is £50, and for a full page advert the donation amount is £85. We will also share your business details on our social media pages.

As the circus audience will consist largely of local families, this is a great opportunity to raise awareness of your business within the community whilst supporting a great cause. will in return have their business logo featured exclusively on the raffle poster and all 3,000 raffle tickets. The sponsorship money will be used to purchase some star prizes for our amazing raffle, meaning the donation will be at least tripled via the raffle ticket sales!
