Can you believe Ash Aisthorpe completed all 269 miles of the Pennine Way for the Gardiner Hill Foundation?!

19 days of trekking, exhaustion, sore muscles, sunburn and midges - but he did it!

Ash is a support worker at Navigo who sees first‑hand how Gardiner Hill Foundation grants make a real difference in the lives of the people he supports.

The fundraising total hit £1,000 on day 18, thanks to everyone who donated. And a special thanks goes to The Border Hotel, the official end point of the Pennine Way, who added a generous donation when Ash reached the finish.

The Just Giving page remains open until the end of the month for anyone who’d still like to support the challenge now that Ash has completed the massive challenge!

A huge shout‑out to Navigo staff member, Ash Aisthorpe, who’s currently taking on the iconic 268‑mile Pennine Way to raise funds for the Gardiner Hill Foundation.

Ash said: "It was a tough and bleak first 4 days, literally, one of the moors was called Bleaklow! I’ve also picked up a minor right foot injury that’s requiring some management, but it’s not stopping me yet!"

"That sense of independence is what makes this challenge especially meaningful. One of the key aims of the Gardiner Hill Foundation is to help its grant recipients build confidence, independence and opportunity in their own lives. By taking on a hike that demands resilience and self‑sufficiency, I hope to reflect and honour that same spirit.

"The Gardiner Hill Foundation does incredible work, and I’m proud to be putting one foot in front of the other to help raise awareness and vital funds for their cause. Every donation, big or small, will make a real difference and will help keep me going every step of the way."

Help Ash reach his goal of £1000 which would up to four full individual grants and make a genuine difference for four of our services users!

Over £1,400 raised and still climbing!

We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who ran the Great Grimsby 10K on Sunday to raise money for the Gardiner Hill Foundation.

That total alone helps us fund at least five individual grants, each worth up to £250, giving local people receiving support from Navigo or Nurtrio the kind of practical help that genuinely makes life a little easier.
