This week our Cubs and Scouts visited Cleethorpes Observatory to learn about space. The members of the Cleethorpes & District Astronomical Society shared their knowledge with us and showed us some amazing equipment they use for looking at the moon and planets.

Do you have a hobby you could share with the group? Do you have some spare time for volunteering whether on a regular or ad hoc basis? We would love to hear from you if you do.

We currently have spaces for boys and girls in Cubs (8-10.5years) and Scouts 10-14 years). We meet on Monday evenings at Trinity Methodist Church, Pelham Road, Immingham.

Our Cubs started back after the Christmas break with an evening of board games. A lot of concentration and fun. The rest of this half term they are concentrating on their Space Badge, including a visit to Cleethorpes Observatory. They are hoping for a clear night so they can use the huge telescope to see the night sky

We meet on Monday evenings at Trinity Methodist Church, during term time. If you have a child that is 8-10.5 years that would like to join in the fun you can send us a message or email [email protected]
You can also contact us if you are interested in volunteering and joining our yeam

We're starting back and are ready for a 2026 filled with fun and adventure.

We have already planned trips and nights away in the diary, exciting section nights and a few spaces for others to join in. And yes, Scouting is for girls and boys.

Ready to try something new yourself? Why not consider volunteering with us. We need people to join our team, helping with weekly meetings, activities and events as well as people behind the scenes.

Make 2026 the year you get involved and become part of our scouting family.

Cubs are our middle section for young people aged 8-10.5 years and yes that includes girls. They meet during term time to make friends, have fun, learn skills for life and earn badges. We currently have a few spaces and are also in need of additional volunteers to boost our leadership team. 🎉Really proud of the Scouts ⚜⚜
They came out on top, taking home the prize, the Golden Peg at the Scoutathlon, held on Thursday evening at Cherry Garth Scout Campsite. It was a fabulous night with 11 teams of Scouts from many of the Scout Troops across the District taking on challenges from welly wanging to fire lighting, climbing to plate spinning, rifle shooting to pioneering and so much more.

Well done Scouts 👏👏 - your teamworking and the many skills you have learned paid off.

Well done to everyone who took part and congratulations to 11th Grimsby Scouts who won the Silver Peg and 5th Grimsby - Scartho - Scout Group who won the Bronze Peg
