We love donating to worthy local causes! One of our recent donations went to Ilkley & District Good Neighbours to support their annual Over 90's party. Taking place on September 27th, the free event is open to Wharfedale residents aged 90+. Guests can enjoy delicious tea and cakes, live music and a warm, festive atmosphere.

Over the bank-holiday weekend Ilkley & District Round Table enjoyed a brilliant family BBQ and get-together, bringing members, partners and family together for a well-earned afternoon of food, drinks, games and plenty of laughs.

We're proud to support an incredible local cause by donating to Lizzie's fundraiser.

Earlier this year, Lizzie, a much-loved teacher, mum, wife and friend, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma – a rare, aggressive and incurable form of brain cancer. After undergoing brain surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and private treatment, there are now no further treatment options available in the UK.

Lizzie now has the opportunity to access specialist immunotherapy treatment in Germany, giving her the chance to spend more precious time with her family and loved ones. The treatment comes at a significant cost, and the fundraising efforts will help cover treatment, travel and accommodation.

At Ilkley & District Round Table, we're honoured to play a small part in helping Lizzie on her journey. We know the power of a community coming together, and every donation, share and act of kindness makes a difference.

This time last weekend, members of Ilkley Round Table were in the Dales enjoying time at Hag D**e, catching up with friends and seeing first-hand how the site continues to thrive.

The visit was particularly special as Round Table has supported several major improvements at Hag D**e over the years, including funding the kitchen renovation, solar panel installation and water quality improvements. It's fantastic to see these projects continuing to benefit everyone who uses and enjoys the site.

Round Table is about more than fundraising – it's also about building friendships, supporting local causes and seeing the impact our efforts have in the community.

A huge thank you to the wardens at Hag D**e for their hospitality and for all the great work they do.

Ilkley's Summer sporting events need you!

Two of Ilkley's biggest summer events are coming up, The Ilkley Cycle Races on Friday 3 July and the Ilkley Half Marathon on Sunday 12 July, and organisers are calling on local people to help make them happen.

Both events are organised by local charities and powered by volunteers, with dozens of people needed to help welcome competitors, support spectators and keep everything running smoothly on the day.
