More than 100 years of park life

Did you know Bicclescombe Park formally opened as Bicclescombe Park Pleasure Gardens in January 1911?

More than a century later, people are still coming here to walk, meet, rest, notice the seasons and enjoy this beautiful bit of Ilfracombe.

We'll be doing exactly that on our next Gentle Wellbeing Walk.

Our first Ilfracombe Disability Friendship Group was a great success.

We chatted, made new connections and created postcards about the difficulties we live with. We also welcomed visitors from Ilfracombe Town Council.

Next meeting: Thursday 15 October, 1.30pm to 3.30pm at The Retreat, Salvation Army, Ilfracombe.

Another lovely evening at Combe Talking Circle 💜

There was plenty to talk about this month, including health, confidence, relationships, boundaries, finding the right support and looking after ourselves when life gets a bit much.

We also celebrated some really positive steps people have made since we last met. It's always lovely hearing people encourage each other and seeing conversations lead naturally to ideas, useful information and support.

A new addition to Ilfracombe. This was a sell out event ... our Wellbeing Champion Will Such as his alter “Jessica Slaggitt”.
Look how this fun event brought so many people together, all having joy, connecting, quizzing and BINGO!!
