This is fantastic news, and sees the end of our Tetra pak collection point at Slade Vision centre.

From today (1 April 2026), you can add a few more items to your kerbside recycling.

Tetra Paks (like orange juice and milk cartons) and crisp tubes (such as Pringles) will now be accepted. Simply flatten and pop them in your brown recycling bag with the rest of your recycling.

Thank you for helping to recycle more ♻️

Black Friday, the season of chaotic consumerism is upon us once again! 🫣
This global retail marketing phenomenon causes frantic and often needless spending on ‘unmissable bargains’!
A recent report* estimates some 80% of Black Friday purchases and any plastic packaging they're wrapped in will end up either in landfill, incineration or – at best – low quality recycling, often after a very short life.

In 2021 money.co.uk found that online deliveries from Black Friday sales generated over 429,000 metric tonnes of GHG. This is equivalent to 435 return flights between London and New York!

Thankfully, there’s a growing movement away from these impulsive and damaging behaviours towards a much more positive relationship with our lives, indeed, our world.
Find out more at: https://greenfriday.org.uk/green-friday/

There is a growing movement to boycott Black Friday. Read to see why Green Friday is taking over!
