Art Work Exeter are holding another Art Car Boot!
It's going to be on June 28th from 10am to 2pm, at Piazza Terracina on Exeter Quayside.

And we're going to be there! Organic Arts makers and trustees will be showcasing some of the brilliant artwork we create in the group, and any funds raised will come back to to help support our charitable aims. So come on down and say hello and explore the inspiring arts, crafts and culture from Exeter and the surrounding area

Counting down the days for the Barn Dance! And it's not JUST a Barn Dance ... join us for ...
👑craft natural head-dresses that bring the party to life
🪗before the dance begins, our wandering minstrel will be filling the countryside with tunes on the accordian to set us on our way
📸use our 'photo booth' to frame yourself and your friends in the tranquil beauty that surrounds the Farm
📖The Makers Group will be sharing their recently built crankie - halfway between an animation and a book, this is a hands-on way to let stories unfold ...
🍺Our bar will be stacked full with drinks from Sandford Orchards and Exeter Brewery ... not to mention the cakes made on-site by our Community Garden Project

Organic Arts is a small but focussed educational charity with the arts, health and wellbeing at its core, connecting communities and learning from the land. Based here at West Town Farm, an organic farm in a rural landscape only 3 miles from Exeter.

We rely heavily on a variety of different grants to keep our weekly groups, and community outreach and seasonal activities going. In this difficult economic time we really do appreciate and value any support that can be given, so we can keep doing this wonderful work!

The wonderful world of Gelli plate printing! We welcomed local artist @, who joined our Thursday Makers group today to help us print, play and explore the magic of printmaking!

We started with layering colours, textures and natural materials to lift and reveal beautiful prints, finding new ways to respond to the land. It is always such a wonderful experience, the opportunity to bring in a visiting artist, it allows us to welcome new skills into the group and showcase the talent and creativity of our makers group. This was made possible due to funding from the .

We were deligh@sarahurleystoryteller back for her second session with us. Her storytelling once again carried us into the worlds of running hares, wise women, and the land of fae and stolen primroses.Together, we began mapping out the sections of our story and sketching the early framework for our collaborative story scroll. Breaking the tale into parts helped us think about how imagery, perspective, and recurring symbols might guide the eye from beginning to end. It was fantastic to see ideas being shared so openly, a real moment of collective making, supporting one another and letting the creative energy build.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve continued our picture scroll journey, building in continuity, colour, and detail to bring the story to life. It's a beautiful way to gently step into the world of visual art and particularly painting and how storytelling and visuals cross over.

We are still finishing off our picture scroll and we will be looking to unveil it at our Summer Barn Dance. Please see the link in our bio to purchase your ticket for the 11th July 6 - 11pm!
