🌟 Volunteers’ Week 2026 🌟

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible people who make our work possible.

Every week, our volunteers give their time, energy, and compassion to support our community — from collecting surplus food from supermarkets, to sorting and preparing it for redistribution, to getting our larder ready to open. Their dedication ensures that good food is saved, shared, and enjoyed rather than wasted.

We’re especially grateful to:

🌟Our Saturday evening drivers — who collect surplus food and keep our rescue work moving
🌟Our Saturday sorting team — who prepare everything for redistribution with care and efficiencyi
🌟Our Sunday volunteers — who get the larder ready to welcome the community
🌟Our Duke of Edinburgh volunteers — whose enthusiasm and commitment make a real difference

Together, they help us reduce food waste, support local people, and strengthen our community.

To every volunteer: thank you. Your commitment turns surplus into opportunity and has a positive impact on so many lives. We truly couldn’t do what we do without you. 💛

In honour of David Attenborough’s 100th birthday, let’s celebrate the planet by rescuing perfectly good food before it goes to landfill.

Every meal saved means less waste, lower emissions, and a healthier Earth for future generations. Small actions — sharing surplus food, buying only what we need, and supporting food rescue projects — can make a real difference.

Save food. Save money. Save the planet. 🌍
