We are a local charity providing services for local older people. Based in Dibden Purlieu our services are currently based in the East of the New Forest. However, Information and Advice is available to anyone who lives in the New Forest area and along with an excellent network of other organisations and charities, we aim to help anyone in our area. We receive no funding for the work that we do, and rely solely upon donations, grants and money raised from sales in our three charity shops.

LAY-BY CLOSURES IN DIBDEN PURLIEU

From 30th March to 26th April the lay-by’s outside the shops and businesses will be closed due to the ongoing replacement to the gas main. DP shops and businesses will all be open as normal so please support them and use the free car park in Oak Road.

Please drop donations for our main and Children’s Charity Shops to the back of our main shop SO45 4PX (track on left off Whinfield Road just before Scout Hut) between 10 am and 3 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am to 12.30 pm on Saturdays. Please do not leave donations outside our shops when we are closed as they get ruined by the weather and are then unusable.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

POLITE REMINDER TO OUR KIND DONORS

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our community and the donations that support our Charity Shops. However, we kindly ask that donations are not left outside our Shops when we are closed.

Unfortunately, items left on the doorstep can be damaged by bad weather or taken before we have the chance to bring them inside our Shops. Recently several donations had to be disposed of when they were affected by the weather. This week a pink holdall that had been left hanging on the door handles of our Dibden Purlieu Charity Shop was taken by a passerby before we could retrieve it.

Please help us protect your kind donations by bringing them into our Shops between 10 am and 3 pm weekdays, 10 am and 12.30 pm on Saturdays so we can make best use of them for our Charity.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

2025 Christmas and New Year Opening Hours for 3 Charity Shops in Dibden Purlieu and Blackfield and our Hythe Office.

We are always so thankful for the lovely donations we receive at our shops, but request that no donations are left outside our shops whilst we are closed. Unfortunately donations left outside get wet or are damaged by seagulls or rodents and have to be disposed of. Disposal of damaged or unsellable goods costs our Charity £3,000.00 per year.
