A huge thank you to Dr John Bowler from the RSPB for his brilliant Birds on Tiree talk last night at the Skerryvore Studio, Hynish. It was wonderful to see more than 40 people attend, with both locals and visitors coming together to learn about Tiree's fascinating birdlife. From the familiar species we encounter every day to rare visitors that have only been recorded once or twice on Tiree -or even across the whole of Argyll and Bute - the evening offered a fascinating insight into the island's rich natural heritage.

It was especially exciting to hear how many of these birds can be spotted around Hynish itself, with the pier being a particular hotspot for several seabird species that visit the island.

We are also delighted to share that new bird and wildlife interpretation boards, featuring content provided by John, will be installed around Hynish in the coming weeks. These will help visitors discover and appreciate even more of the wildlife that makes this area so special.

Thank you to everyone who came along and for your continued support of the Hynish Trust and our Dualchas Discussions programme.

Our next Dualchas Discussion will take place on 2 July, when Dr John Holliday will be joining us to talk about his latest book, Two Headlands. We hope to see you there!
