Last week, we finally had the opportunity to bring together all our amazing Volunteers, dedicated Staff, and esteemed Trustees to celebrate a monumental achievement - Diversity Matters North West receiving the prestigious King's Award for Voluntary Service! It was an honor to be joined by some distinguished Guests, including Shibley Alam, the Civic Mayor of Tameside, and the Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh, who took time out of their busy schedules to share in our joy. The event was a truly joyous celebration of receiving this esteemed award, but more importantly, it was a celebration of our incredible Volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this award possible. This one is for them! 🙏 Our Chief Executive Officers took to the stage to deliver heartfelt speeches, praising the unwavering dedication and hard work of the volunteers who have been instrumental in making this award a reality. They highlighted the countless hours, sleepless nights, and endless efforts that our volunteers have put in to make a positive impact in our community. A lovely lunch was served, accompanied by lively conversations and laughter, followed by a delicious celebratory cake that was the perfect way to cap off the afternoon. The atmosphere was electric, filled with a sense of pride, gratitude, and accomplishment. We are so grateful to have such a fantastic team and we can't wait to see what the future holds for us! 🎉
