Excellent final classes at the old venue. Group two managed the laid out course with style and every dog did amazingly well. Group one was a treat as always, they are really coming on and growing in confidence! Group 3 / 4 smashed stop on command - except Spud - the bus got him 😲🚌

Have a fabulous Easter Break everyone and we will see you at our new venues! Times remain the same for now, but keep an eye out here and in the WhatsApp group for any changes. 🐣

Huge congratulations to our Sunday Group 3 cocker spaniel superstars, Hunter and Bracken 🎉🐾

They both absolutely SMASHED some super advanced “leave it” work this week 💪 We took things up a level and attempted recalls past some seriously tempting food distractions scattered on the floor… and both dogs nailed it! 🙌

A big shoutout as well to our trainer's dogs. Pete’s dog Bonnie absolutely flew through the exercise, we need to think up some seriously harder challenges for our clever collie! And to Claire’s cocker cross, Jasper… who took “leave it” very literally 😂 He was so committed he practically rooted himself to the spot and refused to budge! Well he left it 🤣

This is what consistent training, clear communication and teamwork looks like 👏 We’re so proud of you all, keep it up! 🐶✨🐾

It breaks our hearts to be writing this, but we want to be open with our amazing community.

Many of you know that over the past few years we’ve faced ongoing challenges with the committee that manages the centre where we currently run. Despite the tireless efforts of our volunteers, who have given their time, energy and passion to improve the centre for everyone and to resolve any issues with other user groups, we’ve now been told that we are no longer welcome there.

As a result, from 31st March, HGDogs will sadly have to pause while we search for a new place to call home. There may be a short period where we’re unable to run sessions and that’s something we are devastated us to say. This club isn’t just about training, it’s about friendship, support, laughter, deafening barks and the incredible community we’ve built together.

But know this.... WE ARE NOT GIVING UP!!!! We are actively exploring alternative venues and doing everything we can to get back up and running as quickly as possible.

To our members past and present and every volunteer and staff member who has supported us along the way: thank you ❤️ You are the heart of HGDogs. We would love to hear from you, whether you’re one of our founding members or someone who has just recently joined. Your messages, memories and encouragement mean more than you know.

If anyone has any information about local venues that may be able to accommodate us, whether it’s a hall, field, community space or somewhere we may not have thought of, please get in touch. Recommendations, contacts or even small leads could make all the difference in helping us find a new home.

Now, we’re asking for your help. Moving to new premises comes with significant costs. Deposits, equipment transport, potential facility upgrades and we want to secure a space where HGDogs can grow and thrive long-term, offering even more to you deserving dog owners.
We have launched a GoFundMe page to help fund this move, as you know we have always been an not for profit group with every penny going back into HGDogs and any contribution, no matter how small, will make a real difference. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing the page and spreading the word would mean the world to us.

Let’s rally together and show what this community is made of. Let’s find HGDogs a new home. 🐾💛

Thank you for standing with us, we’re determined that this is not the end of our story, just the start of a new chapter!

Are you looking for a calm and compassionate groomer to help your dog look his best? HGDTC highly recommend - He has done an excellent job on our very own Spud! 🐾

Getting your pup in for their first groom is very important to desensitise them to being handled by both groomers and the vets alike and can prevent them being reactive as they get older.
